Nov 1, 2023 · Where is St. George Island? St. George Island is a 22-mile barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico along Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast. The island is in Franklin County, also known as Florida’s Forgotten Coast. The St. George Island Bridge spans across Apalachicola Bay and connects the mainland city of Eastpoint to the island.
