- LAUSANNE, Switzerland, May 17 — The body of Charlie Chaplin was recovered today in a cornfield about 10 miles from its burial place in the Swiss village cemetery at Corsier‐sur‐Vevey, at the eastern end of Lake Geneva, after being stolen 11 weeks ago.
