Nov 3, 2023 · Mike founded DMA Design (Rockstar North) in 1989 along side 3 of his friends, Steve Hammond, Russell Kay and David Jones, where they went and released a puzzle Strategy game called Lemmings. Mike was known for creating the game engine that the first Grand Theft Auto title ran on.
DMA Design was soon after acquired by Gremlin Interactive, starting a chain of purchases that resulted in the studio becoming Rockstar North.
