The owners manual suggests “premium full synthetic 5W20.”. The truck is used for a lot of short trips throughout the week with one or two longer tips (100 miles round trip).

Ford recommends 10,000 miles (in the maintenance schedule and by using their smart oil monitor on the truck computer ). I figured I'd go close just to see what the oil and filter looked like.

Jan 4, 2023 · That 2.7 is an incredibly stout little motor in the normal driving mode, but the Sport driving mode wakes it up a bit with the higher shift points and holding gears just a bit longer for better acceleration. We've pulled our flatbed a few times with all our quads on it, and it does an admirable job.

  7. The 2.7 has shown to be quicker than the 3.5 and 5.0 in both 0-60 and 1/4 Mile. Not not by a lot. Practically all three motors make an F150 the same speed. The 2.7 and 3.5 are nicer to drive day to day with down low torque. The 2.7 is a far superior design to the 3.5. The 2.7 gets the best fuel economy.
