Project. The Metal WikiProject was created on 19 February 2006, and helps to assemble editors interested in all subgenres of heavy metal music. The aim of this project is to standardize and improve articles related to metal and its sub-genres, as well as to create missing articles.

If you take a look at the categorical Cleanup listing, you'll see that the two biggest categories by a huge margin are "Articles needing additional references" and "Articles with unsourced statements." I feel like most of the content across these articles is fairly reliable, so adding references and verifying shouldn't be a particularly arduous tas...
