Its name is a portmanteau of the words wiki and dictionary. It is available in 193 languages and in Simple English. Like its sister project Wikipedia, Wiktionary is run by the Wikimedia Foundation, and is written collaboratively by volunteers, dubbed "Wiktionarians".
