Metro Parks Summer Camps are weekly programs designed for kids to explore nature and make new friends. Typically, they offer a variety of Summer Camp options for kids from Pre-K through Grade 12. Aug 31, 2020 · Ohio History Center. In 2020, Ohio History Center is offering Family Field Trip Days! Advanced, timed tickets are required. There will be 2 field trip dates each month and each month will have a different theme. Admission is $5 for children and $7 for adults. Kids 3 and under and members are free!
Below are historical photographs of the Civil War’s Camp Chase in Columbus. Named for former Ohio Governor and Lincoln’s Secretary of the Treasury, Samuel P. Chase, Camp Chase was a Civil War camp established in May 1861 on land leased by the US government to replace the much smaller Camp Jackson.
The Ohio History Center is the headquarters of the Ohio History Connection and a museum showcasing Ohio's history from the ice age to today. These exhibits feature a variety of topics including the Civil War, natural history, WWI, the 1950s and interactive children activities.
