- Los Angeles Chargers: Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa. The Chargers have done an excellent job of bolstering their roster this offseason. They now have the personnel to win a Super Bowl, though right tackle is a rare weakness.
- Philadelphia Eagles: Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida. The Eagles have a huge weakness at cornerback. There’s Darius Slay, and that’s about it. Slay’s age is soon going to become an issue as well.
- New Orleans Saints: Tyler Smith, OT, Tulsa. Charlie Campbell reported that the Saints are interested in this particular prospect as a replacement for Terron Armstead, who may leave via free agency.
- Pittsburgh Steelers: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty. I don’t think Malik Willis will fall to No. 20. The Steelers will likely have to trade up for him. I don’t think they’ll move into the top eight, but trading up to the 12-14 range makes sense.
- Jacksonville Jaguars: Travon Walker, DE, Georgia. The Jaguars’ biggest need isn’t edge rusher, but I don’t know how they can pass up on the best prospect in the 2022 NFL Draft.
- Detroit Lions: Aidan Hutchinson, DE, Michigan. I’ve slotted Drake London here since the combine, and he was in the lead for the No. 2 pick. Then, Travon Walker became the favorite.
- Houston Texans: Ikem Ekwonu, OT/G, N.C. State. I had Kayvon Thibodeaux listed here three days ago, but it doesn’t sound like the Texans want to deal with his drama.
- New York Jets: Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati. The Jets have so many needs that it would be redundant and obvious to say that they must address [insert position here].

- Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson. The Jaguars were gifted the No. 1 overall pick due to the Jets’ incompetence. This was a franchise-altering turn of events that even had the mayor of Jacksonville thanking the Jets via Twitter.
- New York Jets: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU. The Jets made a very foolish decision to beat the Rams (and the Browns.) Now, they have a dilemma. Do they select the second-best quarterback in the class or stick with Sam Darnold?
- San Francisco 49ers: Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State. The 49ers moved up to No. 3 in a deal with the Dolphins – go here to see my NFL Trade Grades – and they did so for a quarterback.
- Atlanta Falcons: Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida. It sounds like the Falcons’ decision is down to Trey Lance versus Kyle Pitts. I’ve slotted Lance here in previous updates, but he’s not available in this one.
