Denali in March, April and May. As spring arrives, winter slowly loosens its grip on the park. March and April can be cold and wet in Denali. May, surprisingly, is the driest month for this area. Plowing usually begins on Denali Park Road in mid-March. Depending on conditions, private vehicles can go as far as Mile 30.
Reservations for summer 2024 opened on December 1, 2023. Sanctuary Campground is now accepting advance registrations. Igloo Campground is walk-in registration only, no reservations accepted. The Denali Visitor Center is open daily from 8 am to 6 pm. The Sled Dog Kennels are open daily from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
