    Shawn Schepps was born on July 25, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York, but was raised in Los Angeles, Californiain the neighborhood of Granada Hills. She was brought up in a Jewish household by her mother and father. As a child, she took acting lessons and learned ballet and tap dancing. Schepps got her first agent at age 7.     Schepps has been acting since 1972 when she had her first role voicing an animated movie called 'Tabitha and Adman and The Clown Family' which aired on ABC Superstar Saturday movie. In the 1980's Schepps played guest roles on two hit sitcoms The Golden Girls and Family Ties. She has played other roles in various television shows and made-for-TV movies.
