this little 19th century village is right in Burton village. It is free to go in and walk around when there isn't a festival going on. It is peaceful and beautiful. It has narrow roads, a church, a seamstress building, a one-room schoolhouse, jail, depot, blacksmith shop, caboose, many houses, bandstand, general store, etc.

Our fully restored Century Village Museum, located in Burton, Ohio is an authentic representation of a Western Reserve Village from 1798 to the end of the 19th century. The Museum contains over twenty historically authentic buildings, more than 15,000 museum artifacts, and a working farm with a sugar bush for making maple syrup.
Burton is a village in Geauga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,407 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Cleveland metropolitan area. Burton is the location of Century Village, run by the Geauga Historical Society.
Home History. Colonial Boundaries and Land Disputes. Burton's Resilient Community. Burton is located within the Ohio territory historically known as the Connecticut Western Reserve. During the 17th and 18th centuries, western colonial boundaries were ill-defined and extended westward indefinitely.
