Il abrite une très belle collection de peintures, sculptures, mobiliers et objets d’art datant de l’Antiquité jusqu’en 1914.

The Petit Palais was built for the 1900 Universal Exhibition, like its neighbour the Grand Palais, on avenue Winston Churchill. It became a museum in 1902. Designed by Charles Girault, it is based on a trapezium shape and is made up of four wings around a semi-circular garden bordered by a richly decorated peristyle.

OPENING HOURS. Due to the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games, the museum will only be open from 10am to 2pm on Wednesday 28th August. Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Last admission at 5:15. Galleries close at 5:45 p.m. Closed on 1 January, 1 May, 11 November, and 25 December.
