Reader grew up in Idaho. Reader's father was a painting contractor growing up he and his father enjoyed both music and Baseball. Readers dad would tell him stories of bands such as The Beatles and The Beach Boys as a child.
Reader founded a folk rock band called the Terks. Reader is the lead singer in the band. The band would release a few albums such as all Revive the sound, and That old Christmas feeling.
