Even though it doesn’t have an ending as one might expect (except for a chapter that Inoue made later) it is still very worth it. Similar to Berserk, everything that makes Vagabond a masterpiece exists on paper already.

Hello guys, I always wanted start reading Vagabond but the hiatus holds me. Does it make sense to start this manga now? Does it have some kind of ending?
The manga focuses on a vagabond growing psychologically and philosophically as a human being and as a swordsman. Even if you don't get to read the ending, seeing how the character matures along the way is fascinating to experience. Definitely give it a try if you are into sword duels and philosophy.

Apr 24, 2021 · WITHOUT an end in sight to the current arc, let alone the manga itself. Frankly, Vagabond has a superlative first half. Some of the most technically amazing work you'll see intertwined with a patiently, densely realized cast of characters.
