  1. 3 days ago · 2024 NFL Mock Draft. It’s not clear why, but to start the season, Justin Fields styled himself after Drew Bledsoe, a statue-esque quarterback who held the ball way too long in the pocket and took tons of sacks. Fields ran just twice following the opening drive versus the Buccaneers. He rebounded after that, especially after returning from ...

    • Los Angeles Chargers: Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa. The Chargers have done an excellent job of bolstering their roster this offseason. They now have the personnel to win a Super Bowl, though right tackle is a rare weakness.
    • Philadelphia Eagles: Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida. The Eagles have a huge weakness at cornerback. There’s Darius Slay, and that’s about it. Slay’s age is soon going to become an issue as well.
    • New Orleans Saints: Tyler Smith, OT, Tulsa. Charlie Campbell reported that the Saints are interested in this particular prospect as a replacement for Terron Armstead, who may leave via free agency.
    • Pittsburgh Steelers: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty. I don’t think Malik Willis will fall to No. 20. The Steelers will likely have to trade up for him. I don’t think they’ll move into the top eight, but trading up to the 12-14 range makes sense.
    • Carolina Panthers: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama. Before I begin, I should note that we have some new features, including WalterFootball Premium. We’ve gotten lots of complaints about the ads over the years, but there hasn’t been anything I can do about them because I’ve needed the ad revenue to pay my employees and the hosting.
    • Houston Texans: Will Anderson, DE/OLB, Alabama. As mentioned prior to the Bears-Panthers trade, the Texans wouldn’t be able to get the quarterback they wanted because of their foolish decision to win in Week 18.
    • Tennessee Titans: C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State. I normally don’t like projecting trades in my mock draft, but I’ll do it on occasion. Charlie Campbell just reported that the Titans have been calling about trading up for C.J.
    • Indianapolis Colts: Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida. At this rate, it’s fair to wonder if Texans general manager Nick Caserio is a sleeper agent working for the Colts.
