Reboot, but it was originally planned as a prequel which is why so many things stay the same (like Bumblebee's face). Also the very G1-ish robot designs from the movie's intro were a late addition which is why Bumblebee, Shatter, Dropkick and "Blitzwing" all look very much like Bayverse designs compared to most of the other robots which look more G1.
