I saw the movie Better Days (2019) and had some questions. When Xiao Bei is stuck at the police station and when the bullies attack Chen Nian, who is the girl in the white/beige shirt who walks with Chen Nian before the attack? During the attack, she's facing the wall and crying. Why doesn't she try to help Chen Nian?

Nov 11, 2019 · No: Better Days is a serious, almost literary quality, drama. It has wit, but not the sarcastic kind at all; it has romance, but nothing cheesy, and it has plenty to think about without being heavy-going in the slightest. Better Days is one of the best new films I’ve seen this year.
