  1. I remember when 24 and Alias premiered on the same year. Man, what good year that was! Both shows felt like they completely rewrote the rules of action on TV; they both felt very high production value, like a movie, with great stories and a lot of satisfying action. (In the case of Alias, over the top stuff, whereas 24 was more grounded).

Premiering in 2017, 24: Legacy is the only season in which the iconic protagonist Jack Bauerdoes not appear. Although largely consisting of all-new characters, f...

Though not technically a season, 24: Redemptionwas a television movie that takes place right before Day 7. The story follows Jack in the fictional African country of Sangala, where he helps prevent the military drafting of kids by a violent warlord. He's forced to lay low for a short time because he's technically an outlaw in the eyes of his govern...

Arguably a reference to James Bond's Die Another Day, 24: Live Another Daytakes place around four years after the original series finale. Jack Bauer returns for a 12-episode season set in London, where he has to stop yet another assassination attempt against the incumbent POTUS, James Heller. Unfortunately for Bauer, he soon ends up with a lot more...

Day 2 picks up about a year and a half after the emotional events of Day 1. Between seasons, Jack resigned from CTU, Kim Bauer became a nanny, and Senator David Palmer was elected President of the United States. Jack ultimately comes back to CTU in an effort to help find and stop Syed Ali from detonating a nuclear bomb in Los Angeles. George Mason ...

  2. Sutherland and Haysbert (who made their names on the big screen) are top-flight performers and they prove to be the biggest assets. Excellent direction and good scripts (for the most part) have lingering effects on the audience as the clock ticks and tocks to a mind-numbing finale each season. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

  6. It was unheard of. The showrunners themselves didn't think it was going to hold either, as they were very surprised when they ended up getting a full season of 24 episodes. So considering the concept and how high octane the show is. It's amazing that the show is as good as it is. Season 1-5 are for sure the shows best seasons.
