- Hello folks! It’s finally time to announce that we are going out of Early Access. Our official launch day is April 21, just 2 weeks away! As we discussed in our last update in December, we are finally at content parity with the base game. Maxwell is on his way, the mandrake is in, caves are hostable without jumping through fiery hoops -- we now feel the game is ready for the general public and we’re ready to tell everyone.

- Game Modes. There are three game modes: Default, Forge and Gorge. Default is the main game content of this game. We survive together, we die together! Survive through the seasons and protect yourself from the world.
- Playstyles. New playstyles was added in A Little Drama and QOL update. They allow you to choose different modes for the game. There are 5 game modes in total: relaxed, endless, survival, wilderness, light out.
- Ghosts. The dialogue box that appears when everyone has died. Main article: Ghost Characters. Ghost Players are a new feature that introduces the ability to live after death, although in a downgraded state.
- Additional Content. Don't Starve Together includes almost all content of the base game and the Reign of Giants DLC. Some features from the Shipwrecked and Hamlet DLCs were also introduced over time.

Jan 19, 2022 · After building a prototype and working on it for six months, Klei had a massive office-wide Don’t Starve Together game. An early access version was released on Steam in December 2014. The full 1.0 version was eventually released in April 2016, with Klei once again giving anyone who bought the game an extra copy.
On April 21, 2016, Don't Starve Together left Early Access and had its official release. Its full price was added, $20. While most bugs were fixed, hotfixes were still released regularly. A New Reign. The East or West, Base is Best update on August 11, 2016, marked the beginning of the A New Reign beta branch.
