May 8, 2024 · “Star Trek” actress Kitty Swink, 69, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 20 years ago after experiencing back pain, unexplained weight loss, and jaundice. She underwent treatment, which included surgery, and beat the odds of a “4% survival.”
According to Kitty Swink, she noticed she had started losing weight in 2004, but because she has always been skinny, she didn’t worry too much. She was also experiencing back pain that she attributed to stress, but Shimerman was convinced something else was going on.
