is an independent documentary produced in 2018 about the early history of Nickelodeon and its rise to prominence in the 1990s. Written and directed by Scott Barber and Adam Sweeney, it was funded through a 31-day Indiegogo campaign in October 2016 and premiered at the DOC NYC film festival on November 15, 2018.

The Orange Years chronicles the rise of Nickelodeon, with the actors, writers, and creators from all the golden age Nickelodeon shows that shaped your lives. It’s wild. It’s crazy. It changed the world.”
The documentary was released through digital retailers on November 17, 2020, with a physical release on manufacture-on-demand DVD and Blu-ray coming the very next day. Unfortunately, both releases were discontinued on June 4, 2021.
