   What happens after Calexico City Council certification?

   • Following the certification by the county, the Calexico City Council must then formally vote to accept the results, a decision that cannot include Ureña and Manzanarez. When the results are formally accepted by the council, Ureña and Manzanarez cease to be council members. Filling the seats has both a temporary and permanent component.
