Oct 15, 2015 · 2. It looks like the source text was originally ISO/IEC 8859-1, a standard single-byte extended ASCII encoding. To produce that hex dump, some process misinterpreted the source text as UTF-16LE (a double-byte encoding) and converted it to UTF-8, which is why many programs you've tried interpreted it as UTF-8.

(Japanese: クレヨンしんちゃん, Kureyon Shin-chan) is a Japanese animated comedy slice-of-life television series adapted from the eponymous manga created by the late Yoshito Usui, produced by Shin-Ei Animation for TV Asahi. Originally premiering in Japan on April 13, 1992, it is still ongoing on several television networks worldwide. The series currently has over 1,200 episodes, and has spawned over 30 feature films and two spin-off series made for streaming. The series was originally directed by Mitsuru Hongo until episode 202, who was replaced by Keiichi Hara from episode 203 (following the birth of Shin-chan's baby sister, Himawari) to episode 504. Since episode 505, the series is directed by Yuji Muto.
The series follows the adventures of a five-year old boy named Shinnosuke Nohara and his parents, his dog, his baby sister, his neighbors, and his friends. They live in Kasukabe, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. A staple of the series is its large cast of characters. Most of the plot is about Shin-chan's daily life, but it is also often interspersed with a lot of fantastic and incredible elements. Shin-chan is known for causing trouble wherever he goes due to his childish lack of tact when speaking to others, especially towards adults. The series is mainly comedic in style with some sexual innuendo. However, due to its popularity, it's also stylistically as family-friendly as possible, although it may not apply to all global audiences. Most episodes are about the importance of family and friends.

1.Since episode 1,008 on October 5, 2019, the series has been switched to a Saturday time slot at 4:30 PM. The series format has returned to three segments per episode, at least one of which is a past episode redubbed with the voices of Yumiko Kobayashi and Toshiyuki Morikawa, among other recast characters. These episodes are occasionally censored.
