Rob Lowe was the perfect choice as the hip but not too hip 9/11 hero newly moved to the Hill Country to help rebuild a firehouse which lost its entire crew, minus one, in an explosion. Some of his choices are a muslim woman, a latino man, a transgendered man, his own gay son.
