"Behind Bars" is the first single released from Slick Rick's third album, Behind Bars. It was released on November 8, 1994. The original version was produced by the legendary producer, Prince Paul, but was scrapped for the album and single in favor of remixes by The Epitome Of Scratch and Warren G.
Aug 20, 2014 · Slick Rick can make anything sound cool including toxic masculinity. 4. 1y*. Danielvogelbach. 84. I love u Nate Dogg, R.I.P, but I think Slick Rick has the most soothing voice in rap, and although the lyrics here are questionable and sort of sexist his lyricism is amazing as always.
Nov 22, 1994 · BEHIND BARS. Prince Paul (and The Epitome of Scratch) provides the instrumental for Ricky's fictional exploits in prison, ironic given the context of Ricky's life at the time. Paul's beat isn't as goofy as he is characteristically known for, in fitting with the theme, and Ricky's attention to detail is impressive.
