Christopher Asher Wray (born December 17, 1966) is an American attorney who is the current director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He was nominated by president Donald Trump on June 7, 2017, and has served since August 2, 2017. Born in New York City, Wray graduated from Yale University in 1989, then attended Yale Law School.
