   • Depressing, cliche, and quite unwatchable at times, Dear John really doesn't have an interesting story to tell, and despite it being in the romantic genre, the film makes the viewer feel nothing more than annoyance. I'm a sucker for stories involving distressed love.

   Is Dear John a PG-13 movie?

   • As a romantic movie, it is expected that Dear John may include some sexual content. However, the sex scenes are pretty tame. The violence in the film wasn't too bad. It barely show anything, graphic. After all, it's late 2000's PG-13. Not 1990's PG-13. The War on Terror subplot is questionable, at best.

   Our review: Parents say ( 13 ): Kids say ( 53 ): Tatum and Seyfried manage to conjure a comfortable chemistry, but their characters are simply too good to seem real.
