  6. May 21, 2021 · Irving Cummings’ Down Argentine Way (1940) is my pick for this year’s Hidden Classics Blogathon hosted by the Classic Movie Blog Association. Not only is this a movie I have watched many times, it is also historically significant, the type of movie many ‘serious’ cinephiles discount for its lack of messaging.

  8. 5/10. Paper thin plot but fun. ryancm 25 June 2006. Despite it's paper thin plot or saran wrap plot, DOWN ARGENTINE WAY is kind of fun, especially seeing it in this day and age. The DVD is outstanding with the colors very bright and chic, the way Foxs' musicals have always been.
