   • Evan Almighty is an ungainly melding of religious paean, big-budget studio comedy, feel-good family niceties and summer-blockbuster spectacle. This movie isn't about logic, faith or family, and doesn't have many laughs except when baboons carry things -- that's always funny. It's just mindless summer popcorn.

   Is Evan Almighty worth the money?

   • God, she just has to be the most annoying person on Earth. Evan Almighty is the most expensive comedy film of all time. It's effects are superb but it's not worth the money that it cost to make it. The whole sequel was unnecessary in the first place and the jokes were over used and tired.

   Why does Evan Almighty not work?

   • Evan Almighty was not able to manage the expectations of those who came to see it anticipating as riotous a ride as its predecessor Bruce Almighty. It retained the premise of the original as a spin-off but it doesn't work not because Steve Carell is less talented than Jim Carrey but because he had lousy material to work with.
