Promiscuous farm girl Barbe (Adélaïde Leroux) entertains numerous lovers, but mostly prefers the company of Demester (Samuel Boidin). Demester seems incapable of commitment, and so Barbe sleeps with Blondel (Henri Cretel) out of revenge. Soon after, she sees both lovers off to war.
