May 27, 2021 · Valencia CF have reached an agreement for José Bordalás to become the new first team coach for the coming two seasons, through to June 30th, 2023, with an optional third year. Bordalás joins the club following an extensive career to date, in which he has overseen more than 500 official games across several levels of Spanish football.
José "Pepe" Bordalás Jiménez (born 5 March 1964) is a Spanish football manager and former player who played as a striker, currently manager of La Liga club Getafe. His playing career ended due to injury without a first-team appearance for Hércules, and he made his professional managerial debut for the same team in Segunda División in 2006.
