Brief Synopsis. Lewis Gates, a bounty hunter haunted by the past, is hired to track down three escaped convicts in the Oxbow region of the Rockies. Following the criminals' trail, Gates arrives at a secluded spot where he discovers signs of a struggle, but no bodies or evidence other than a strange arrow shaft.
