Then again, if personality is what you're in the market for, maybe you shouldn't be considering a lip-synched talking animal comedy in the first place. The plot. In California, Marmaduke likes his new back yard, but gets in hot water with his family for a dumb reason and runs away.

Our review: Parents say ( 19 ): Kids say ( 39 ): Even though the Marmaduke movie trailer was criticized as one of the year's worst, there is definitely an audience for this movie -- pet-loving elementary schoolers who dig talking-animal flicks. If you are out of that narrow moviegoing niche, chances are high that you'll be unamused.
