Bitter Adam McAdam (James Cromwell) lives on a small farm on the Isle of Man, taking pleasure only in his annual victory at the local sheepherding competition. Adam has long hated his neighbor and rival, Keith (Colm Meaney), and keeps to himself, with only his dogs for company.
