Padre Pio born May 25, 1887, in Pietrelcina, was a priest of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, known for his spirituality, stigmata and dedication to religious service. His life, full of extraordinary events, deeply marked the history of the Catholic Church in the 20th century.
Padre Pio, was a humble Capuchin priest who lived the last 50 years of his life in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy, at Our Lady of Grace Friary. He was blessed by God in many wonderful and mysterious ways; The most dramatic was the stigmata and he bore these wounds of Christ for fifty years.
