Robert Porter McKimson, Sr. (13 October 1910 - 29 September 1977) was an American animator, illustrator, and director best known for his work on the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons from Warner Bros., and later DePatie-Freleng Enterprises.
Robert McKimson was a Warner Brothers animator, director and writer who created and developed many classic characters, such as Foghorn Leghorn, Barnyard Dog and Speedy Gonzales. He also worked on the Pink Panther cartoons and died in 1977 at age 66.
