Play Trailer. Overview. After Germany invades Poland and the Nazis order the confinement of all local Jews in the ghetto, medical doctor Artur Planck (Joseph Fiennes) manages to flee with his family, seeking refuge at the farm of Emilia (Kelly Harrison), their former grocer.
Spring 1941. Dr. Artur Planck and his family are seeking shelter from Germans storming Poland. They find a safe house in the farm of Emilia. Amidst the horrors of the war that surround them, an impossible love triangle erupts as Emelia uncontrollably falls in love with Artur.
Clara Planck (56), a known Canadian-Jewish cellist, is invited to her home town in Poland to inaugurate a concert hall in 1972. During her visit she remembers the spring of 1941, when she lost her family.
