The Chosen is an American Christian historical drama television series. Created, directed, and co-written by filmmaker Dallas Jenkins, it is the first multi-season series about the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth. The TV show centers around Jesus' everyday life with his followers as he makes his way to Jerusalem healing the sick and performing other miracles such as casting out demons and making the lame walk.
- Shahar Isaac - Simon Peter. Simon Peter is one of the most devout followers of Jesus both in the Holy Bible and in The Chosen. Played by actor Shahar Isaac, Simon began the show as a fisherman in debt to Rome before witnessing Jesus perform a miracle, which made Simon follow the Messiah.
