Jan 9, 2014 · Consider this review my own personal warning about The Girl Next Door. It is horrifying, it is disturbing, and much of it is true. The movie may be based on a Ketchum novel, but Ketchum’s novel is based on the true story of the 1965 murder of Sylvia Likens, a sixteen year old girl from Indianapolis.
