In this fact-based film, educator Mary Kay Letourneau (Penelope Ann Miller) is in the midst of an unsatisfying marriage when she bonds with sixth grader Vili Fualaau (Omar Anguiano). Soon after they begin a sexual relationship. Eventually, their romance is discovered, and she barely escapes jail time after having a baby with Vili.
