  4. "The Seventh Victim" is a messy, boring and annoying film of horror genre at least in 1943. The plot is confused and senseless, with silly and ridiculous situations and dialogues. Kim Hunter in the role of a naive teenager is funny. Do not try to watch this film if you are tired; otherwise you will certainly nap. My vote is five.

  5. With Tom Conway, Jean Brooks, Isabel Jewell, Kim Hunter. A woman in search of her missing sister uncovers a Satanic cult in New York's Greenwich Village and finds that they could have something to do with her sibling's random disappearance.

  6. Nov 2, 2019 · The Seventh Victim is a very bleak noir film. It’s not a lush, nuanced classic, nor is it a dose of cheap exploitation. The movie started out as an A-list Val Lewton production. Val insisted that his film-editor friend Mark Robson make his debut in the director’s chair for the film, which RKO Radio Pictures was not happy about.

  7. Jan 28, 2001 · One of the most effective thrillers I have ever seen. Director Robson knows how to build suspense, create a sense of foreboding, and generally draw the audience in, moment by tense moment.
