For the American athlete, see Tom Courtney. Sir Thomas Daniel Courtenay ( / ˈkɔːrtni /; born 25 February 1937) is an English actor. After studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he achieved prominence in the 1960s as part of actors of the British New Wave.
