Whistle & I'll come to you (2010) Can't understand the negative reviews of this decent,imaginative ghost story.For me the presence of John Hurt as the main character,Parkins makes this made for tv effort a very enjoyable ride.
As it was shown on Christmas Eve, there were few reviews. Sam Wollaston, writing in The Guardian was mixed in his review, criticising some of the changes ("His terrifying short story has been much tampered with. The whistle ... is missing mysteriously ... Even the shoreline is wrong; it should be the east coast: dunes, windswept.

The tale here is simple enough: James Parkin (John Hurt) has travelled to an old seaside haunt as his wife, of many years, sits in the care of a nursing home.
