Most of both ranches are now contained within the park. Among the historic ranch buildings, the older farmhouse predates the Wilders. The oldest part of it was built in the 1850s. Wilder’s elegant 1897 Victorian home also survives. The Wilder family continued to operate the dairy until 1969.
Oct 28, 2018 · I was glad that I got to visit the Wilder Ranch State Park. The park has a little bit of everything – very nice views, Redwoods, rugged coastline, meadows, and even a historical museum. Wilder Ranch State Park covers approximately 7,000 acres, with 34 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails winding through coastal terraces and valleys.
