Founded in 1887, APLU is North America’s oldest higher education association with member institutions in all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, four U.S. territories, Canada, and Mexico.
Who We Are. APLU’s day-to-day operations are led by President Mark Becker and more than 65 staff members. The Board of Directors provides oversight and direction for their work and is charged with setting membership and governing policies for the association.
