I have been told two different answers to this issue: When using “me” in the compound predicate, there is an exception, and “me” should come first in line. Ex. He gave the apples to me and Diana. I’ve also been told that the first person pronoun “always” comes last in line. Ex. He gave the apples to Diana and me.
As understood in those terms, you and I is the right phrase when we are the subject of a sentence (performing the action), and you and me is correct when we are an object in a sentence (receiving the action). Examples. You and I have been shopping for hours. (subject performing the action)
The correct version is with me. The easiest way to test this is to remove the other person and think, "how would I say this if I were the only person involved?" In this case we would say, "Count me in" so the correct version is "Linda and me".
