Apr 23, 1999 · eXistenZ is sinister and grotesque, mind-bending and strange, and seems like it was concocted by throwing a bunch of random and unrelated ingredients together - with a miraculously good outcome. Everyone has already forgotten about eXistenZ. But the film was released at the same time as The Matrix in the same year.
