Dec 15, 2016 · The story of Anni-Frid Lyngstad, known as Frida Lyngstad, one of ABBA’s female superstar lead singers is one of these stories. Frida was one of the so-called “war children.” She was born to a Norwegian mother called Synni Lyngstad from whom she kept the surname, and a German soldier father later identified as Alfred Haase.
"I Know There's Something Going On" was released in the summer of 1982 and became a major success for Frida. It hit #1 in Flemish Belgium and Switzerland, and was a Top 10 hit throughout most of Europe, as well as in Australia and South Africa. The song reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March 1983, where it had a total chart run of 29 weeks.

Frida Erika Appelgren, earlier married Muranius, born 5 April 1981 in Malmö, Sweden, is a Swedish music artist. She scored a mid-2007 hit with the song Dunka mig gul och blå. Together with Headline she participated at Melodifestivalen 2008 with the song Upp o hoppa. The song ended up 10th in the finals.
