    The Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest building, reaching a height of 828 m (2,716 ft 6 in) into the sky. It was developed by Emaar Properties and designed to reduce wind effects with its complex Y-shaped cross section.

    "We’re born with a challenge," said Mr Ahmed Al Falasi, Executive Director of Burj Khalifa when describing his initial inspiration for erecting the tower. All over the globe people were asking whether it was even possible to construct a building that high.

    Construction began on 21 September 2004 and exterior completed on 1 October 2009. Designed to sustain seismic activities and reduce wind effect with its complex Y-shaped cross section structure. Over 12000 people from all over the world worked on construction of this superlative building which has residential, office and hotel use.
