Schumacher was selected to replace Tim Burton as director of the Batman franchise and oversaw Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. Later, after his career declined following the failure of Batman & Robin, a resurfaced Schumacher directed smaller-budgeted films, including Tigerland and Phone Booth.
